How it works
When you phonate into the VoicePipe, the narrowed opening creates back pressure above your vocal folds. That pressure lets the folds vibrate with less effort and less collision force, so you can warm up, build stamina and cool down without adding strain.
It works on the same principle as straw phonation. The difference is that the resistance is engineered and repeatable — the same every session — instead of whatever a drinking straw happens to give you that day.

What is the VoicePipe?
A handheld semi-occluded vocal tract (SOVT) tool. You vocalise into it; the narrowed opening creates back pressure that makes the vocal folds vibrate more easily and with less impact.
How do I use it?
Place it gently between your lips and vocalise on an “oo”. Slides, scales, or the exercises you already do. Three to ten minutes is enough for a warm-up.
How is it different from a straw?
A straw gives you whatever resistance its diameter happens to give. The VoicePipe is built to a specification, so the back pressure is the same every time — which is what makes it usable as training rather than as an experiment.
How do I clean it?
Rinse it under warm running water after use and let it air-dry standing up. Once a week, a drop of washing-up liquid and a soft brush through the bore. Do not boil it and do not put it in the dishwasher — the material is stable well below boiling point.
Can I use it if my voice hurts?
SOVT work is gentle, but pain is a symptom, not a training problem. See a laryngologist first. No tube replaces a diagnosis.
Is there a guarantee?
Yes. If it breaks while you are using it as intended, we replace it. Step on it and that is a different matter. The guarantee is in addition to your statutory rights, not instead of them.
Can I return it?
Yes. You have 14 days from the day it arrives to change your mind, and return shipping is yours. If the seal on the packaging is unbroken we refund the product price in full. You are welcome to open it and look at it — but a pipe that has actually been used cannot be resold, so we may reduce the refund to reflect that. Full details.
